Snap & Button

There are three different basic types of snap button systems: "S" Spring, Ring Spring, Open Ring Spring, and also snap buttons that are made from plastic.

No matter which snap button system suits your products, we can make snap buttons in different designs, alloys and sizes. You can also get snap buttons made with a logo or other customer-specific features.

We offer you everything that you need in terms of snap buttons, jeans buttons, eyelets, hooks and rivets.

If we don’t have what you’re looking for as a standard product, we will custom make it for you. We can produce all our products with a similar coating to our zippers, so they’ll match the look you want. Don’t worry about assembly. Guidance, machines and tools are part of our service.

Snap Button with "S" Spring

Called "S" spring because the socket has a built-in "S" shaped spring mechanism that holds the stud in place.

This type of snap button is traditionally used for workwear, outer garments (all ages), and for thick shirts and leather products (bags, etc.). The “S” Spring can only be used for woven fabrics – not for knitted fabrics.

Components for "S" Spring Buttons

Snap Button Cap

The snap button cap is a component that is often used decoratively on the garment.

Socket

The socket is attached to the cap through the fabric and is often called the female-part of the four-part combination.

Stud

The stud is often called the male-part of the four-part combination. This is the component that is snapped into the socket and provides the snap button function.

Rivet

The rivet is attached to the stud through the fabric.

Snap Button with Ring Spring

Called a ring spring because the socket has a built-in spring mechanism which is shaped like a split ring. This holds on to the stud. The Ring Spring can only be used for woven fabrics – not for knitted fabrics.

Snap Button with Open Ring

Open Ring snap buttons are made up of a petal-shaped socket, which is attached to the stud. This type is good for knitted fabrics because of the five-legged construction of the ring, which is attached to either the socket or the stud.

Open Ring snap buttons are produced in three standard sizes: 14, 15 and 16 lines. Lines are a type of measurementin which 1 line = 0.635 mm. The size of the product refers to the diameter of the open ring.
